From Shadows to Light (Original Available)

From Shadows to Light is an original oil on canvas painting measuring 4×5 feet, created for the 2025 International Art Competition at the Church History Museum of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The work was exhibited throughout 2025 as part of the museum’s global showcase featuring artists from around the world. The painting captures a powerful moment inspired by Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, the life changing encounter between Jean Valjean and Bishop Myriel.

In the story, the bishop responds to Valjean’s wrongdoing with mercy instead of judgment, an act that becomes the turning point in Valjean’s life. In the painting, light breaks through the shadows of the street, symbolizing the movement from darkness toward redemption. The contrast of light and shadow reflects the deeper message of the moment—that compassion and forgiveness can change the direction of a life. These giclée prints allow collectors to bring a piece of that message, and this exhibition work, into their own homes.

Silent Night

Painted in December of 2025, Silent Night is an original oil on canvas measuring 3×4 feet, created as a reflection on the birth of the Christ child. The painting captures the quiet, holy moment of the nativity, inviting viewers to pause and experience the peace and reverence of that first Christmas night.
